Biography:
Ibrahim Deiab is Professor of mechanical engineering at University of Guelph. He Obtained his PhD from McMaster University in 2003. His research interests are focused on advanced and sustainable manufacturing, modeling of machining processes, additive manufacturing, and application of AI in machine and process conditions monitoring, sensor and data fusions, industrial automation, and quality control. Dr Deiab is Affiliated faculty with the Centre for Advancing Responsible and Ethical Artificial Intelligence (CARE-AI) and the director of the advanced manufacturing lab (AML) (www.uoguelph.ca/AML), where he and his research team are working on several industry funded projects on 3D printing of bio-plastics and metallic materials, smart manufacturing and automation. He has over 150 technical publications in reputable journals and conferences. Dr. Deiab is a registered professional engineer in the province of Ontario, Canada. He is also a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
